5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface, gently pat it into a 1-inch thick rectangle, and fold it over three times for flakiness.
6. Roll or pat to 1-inch thickness and use a biscuit cutter or glass to cut out biscuits.
7. Place biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, touching slightly for a softer texture.
8. Brush the tops with buttermilk.
